As today’s organizations continue to store and manage massive amounts of digital information, staying ahead of the data deluge can be a constant challenge. Simply keeping pace with this exponential data growth is no longer the only issue for storage managers. Many storage environments continue to expand and increase in complexity over time, often including heterogeneous components from multiple vendors and implementing virtualization and cloud technologies. With this increasing storage sprawl and abstraction, the challenges have shifted from maintaining pace with data growth to gaining a better understanding of the storage environment and managing it more efficiently.
