Workforce Management 2012: Efficiency, Effectiveness and Engagement

Workforce Management - defined in this study as the systems, processes and workflows to manage time and attendance, scheduling, absence management, task management and labor analytics - is a significant part of the human capital framework for today's organizations. Without tools and processes to ensure that the right employees are in the right place at the right time, that time and attendance and activity data is tracked, and that compliance and absence information is collected, organizations leave themselves vulnerable to missed opportunities and significant risk. But the right workforce management solutions can ensure that organizations operate efficiently, effectively, and in ways that are engaging to employees and customers. This study collected data on the practices of 167 organizations during May and June 2012 to understand the business impact of effective workforce management.
