Cable next-gen broadband technology: Automation and AI plans

Cable operators are increasingly adopting network automation, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, deep learning, and related technologies to boost service delivery, trim operating costs, and gain greater insights into their customers.

As a result, most operators expect to have more than 50% of their IT processes automated by the end of 2024, around two-thirds plan to use automation in their cable headends within the next 12 months, and almost half plan to deploy AI in their network operations over the next 12 months.

In ‘Cable Next-Gen Broadband Technology Plans & Strategies 2021’, Heavy Reading examines these trends and more.
